This marks the culmination of a 16-month journey and a significant milestone in Franciscan Health\u2019s comprehensive cloud strategy aimed at achieving scalability, resiliency, efficiency, enhanced security, optimized data access, and improved patient outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Following our previous announcement regarding the initiation of this ambitious project, Franciscan Health partnered with Infinite Computer Solutions, Inc., and OptaFi, LLC to make this vision a reality. OptaFi, a joint venture launched in 2022 between Sentara Healthcare and Infinite, spearheaded the architecture and design, built out of various Epic environments, install and configure of Epic software, historical data migration from existing hosting platform and the integration of various software components required for patient care. Throughout this extensive process, the dedicated team tackled and overcame numerous challenges, ensuring all quality and security measures were meticulously met.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCompleting this strategic move ensures Franciscan Health&#8217;s readiness for upcoming advancements in data engineering, AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, resiliency, and scalability,\u201d said Charles Wagner, Franciscan Alliance\u2019s Senior Vice President of Information Services and Chief Information Officer.<\/p>\n<p>Infinite Chairman and OptaFi Board Member, Sanjay Govil, added, \u201cPartnering with Franciscan Health on this migration while complimenting their other transformative initiatives showcases Infinites depth and breadth of our capabilities, and our commitment to client success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInfinite and OptaFi teams worked tirelessly with Franciscan Health, Microsoft, Epic and other organizations to complete the migration.&nbsp; It was not easy.&nbsp; Very few healthcare providers have migrated from a remote third-party full-service host to Azure.&nbsp; Sixteen months to successfully migrate both Epic and ancillary systems is incredible and would not have been possible without the collective pioneering spirit by all parties to get it done.\u201d &nbsp;said Scott Mayo, OptaFi CEO.<\/p>\n<p>The success of this project was also recognized by HFS Research, an industry-leading analyst firm, which highlighted Infinite and OptaFi\u2019s delivery on its promise of a real healthcare cloud.
